Clackamas Community College
Education is the one asset that you can’t lose. Coffman recognizes the benefit of Clackamas Community College as a lower cost transition to a four year degree. Just as important is the second chance Clackamas Community College provides adults by way of retraining opportunities.
These opportunities are made possible in large part by the many excellent community partners of Clackamas Community College in which Coffman is pleased to be included. There is a hall in the new Arts Center named after Coffman for their contribution to the college capital campaign as well as a scholarship endowment for education sponsored by Coffman.
Cheer-A-Child
This gift campaign sponsored by the International Union Of Operating
Engineers/Local 701, is to benefit the children in group homes and residential
treatment at Kerr Youth and Family Centers. Coffman employees donated gifts and
money to help make this annual campaign a success.
The Kids on the Block Awareness Program
Using child-size puppets to effectively communicate with young school age children, Kids on the Block provides in school programs at no cost to the schools to help children stay safe, eat healthy and accept differences in one another. This highly effective program is funded in large part by corporations and major fund raisers. Coffman Companies are proud participants in both.
It’s not just about giving, it's about having a great time as well. For several years now, Coffman Companies have been involved in the major fund raising event for Kids on the Block known as Sand in the City. This fun, creative, team building event pits Coffman Companies against many other major corporate sponsors to create amazing sand sculptures in Portland’s Pioneer Square in hopes of bringing home the coveted “Golden Shovel.”
Doernbecher Children's Hospital
Foundation
For over 70 years children and families in our region have turned to
Doernbecher Children's Hospital for care. Coffman recognizes the dedication
Doernbecher has to helping 30,000 children annually, and has been a steady
supporter through the years. Coffman participates in various events benefiting the program.
